I'll dominate 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
